To £45k London, with significant UK travel during the kick-off and data-mapping phases of each integration. Every business this company acquires comes with a mess of legacy data. Spreadsheets, shadow systems, inconsistent standards, and no single owner. Right now that work is split across several people juggling it alongside their day jobs. They want one person to own it end to end.

The client is a VC-backed, AI-enabled acquirer of property services businesses - the UK's first roll-up of its kind in residential block management. The first wave of acquisitions is done, more are in the pipeline, and data migration is the bottleneck they're hiring to fix. This is not a pure coordination role.

Roughly 80% of a migration can be automated. The other 20% is hands-on: profiling messy source data, chasing down the spreadsheets and shadow systems that always surface, making the field-mapping calls, validating records line by line. That 20% is the job.

What you'll actually do:

  • Own each migration end to end - kick-off, data discovery, mapping, sandbox review, go-live - against a roughly 90-day standard, keeping the gap between data cut-off and go-live as tight as possible
  • Be the single point of contact between the acquired business, an external migration platform partner, and internal product, finance and ops teams
  • Build a data-requirements playbook so nothing gets captured piecemeal
  • Get institutional knowledge out of key people's heads before they exit post-completion
  • Refine templates, mapping standards and checklists after every migration, working towards one repeatable approach across the group
  • Grow into running two to three migrations concurrently as you build experience

Who this is:

  • Technically curious and genuinely interested in data - comfortable with spreadsheets and source systems, and keen to develop into leading data conversations and making mapping decisions yourself
  • No migration experience required. You'll be trained and mentored directly by an experienced Head of Data, and given real support to grow into the role - this is a role to learn in
  • Likely background: junior data analyst, a strong analytical graduate, implementation or onboarding coordinator, or someone from a data-heavy operations role
  • Organised across parallel workstreams without dropping detail
  • Builds trust fast, from branch staff to founders, inside a business you've only just walked into
  • Comfortable with the unglamorous work - happy on the road during intensive kick-off and mapping phases

Bonus points:

  • Property, block management, financial services or other data-heavy sector experience
  • Time inside an acquisitive or roll-up business
  • Exposure to migration tooling or working alongside a platform partner

What's on offer:

  • A pivotal early role building the data-migration engine of one of the UK's most ambitious AI-enabled roll-ups
  • High autonomy, real ownership, and direct exposure to founders and functional leaders
  • £35–45k basic, all UK travel expenses covered, London base
  • A team where doing the work is what gets rewarded
