We’re hiring an experienced Account Executive (sales hunter!) to own the UK market for a high-growth board management SaaS platform used by boards and executive teams in regulated, mission-critical environments. This is a first UK sales hire role. You won’t be inheriting inbound leads, playbooks, or a mature team - you’ll be building a market, working directly with leadership, and selling a complex, high-value product to senior stakeholders. This role is not suitable for generalist SaaS sellers. You must come from the board management / governance software space and already understand board packs, agendas, governance workflows, and the realities of selling to boards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning new business and expansion revenue across the UK
- Running the full sales cycle end to end in a cold, mid-market patch
- Selling to CEOs, Board Chairs, NEDs, Company Secretaries, and Risk & Compliance leaders
- Leading consultative discovery around governance, regulation, and decision-making
- Positioning against legacy board portals and incumbents
- Building account plans and managing longer, more complex sales cycles
- Working closely with leadership to shape messaging, pricing, and GTM
- Feeding real customer insight back into product and strategy
What Success Looks Like
- Consistent delivery against a £400k annual target
- High-quality, well-qualified pipeline
- Wins against established incumbents through value-led selling
- Trusted relationships at board and exec level
- Tangible input into how the product is sold, not just revenue booked
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in B2B SaaS sales
- Direct experience selling board management / governance software (essential)
- Proven success selling to board-level and senior stakeholders
- Comfortable with complex, consultative, longer sales cycles
- Strong commercial judgement and closing discipline
- A true hunter mindset - resilient, self-directed, and accountable
- Experience displacing or competing with legacy platforms is a strong plus
Why This Role
- First UK sales hire - real ownership and influence
- Direct access to founders and leadership
- A product with strong category momentum as governance pressure increases
- Opportunity to help shape a UK revenue engine from the ground up
- Career growth that scales with the business, not a fixed ladder
If you’ve sold board portals / governance platforms for board management purposes, enjoy complex sales, and want genuine ownership rather than a script, this is worth a conversation.
