We’re hiring a Full Stack Engineer (back end leaning) for an ambitious, early-stage start-up using fintech-grade engineering to disrupt the hospitality market.

What You’ll Do

• Full Stack Development: Build and iterate on both front-end and back-end features
• Integrations: Connect third-party platforms and systems with seamless data flow
• Database Optimisation: Keep Firestore and PostgreSQL humming smoothly
• Innovation: Research, test, and implement new tools or approaches
• Quality Focus: Build reliable, testable, maintainable code that scales
• Tackle real-world engineering problems – integrations, data flow, performance at scale
• Zero micromanagement – spot an improvement? Research it, pitch it, implement it
• Direct product impact – your work reaches users quickly and visibly

About You

• Previous experience in start-ups or early-stage, lean environments
• Must have extensive evidence of being an individual contributor working in a complex coding ecosystem
• Comfortable working in integration-heavy environments
• Deep experience with Node.js, Express.js, React (or similar), TypeScript
• Strong database experience (Firestore and PostgreSQL/SQL)
• Familiarity with GCP and Firebase
• Thrive in a fast-paced, independent, and remote-friendly culture
• Previous experience in start-ups or early-stage environments
• Bonus: Experience in hospitality tech or fintech
• Styling: Tailwind CSS
• Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Firebase
• Bonus: Experience building or integrating APIs at scale
