Sub Agent – Water & Wastewater

Location: Oxfordshire Rate: £325–£425 per day Sector: Water & Wastewater Contract: Contract Employer: Leading National Tier One Contractor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a leading national Tier One contractor, working on major water and wastewater projects across Oxfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional with a strong water sector background who is looking to work on major infrastructure projects with a well-established Tier One contractor.

The Role

As Sub Agent, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of water and wastewater projects, working closely with the Site Agent, Project Manager and wider delivery team.

You will be responsible for coordinating site activities, maintaining progress against programme and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day site activities, subcontractors and resources.
  • Support the Site Agent and Project Manager in the successful delivery of works.
  • Monitor progress against programme and proactively address issues that may affect delivery.
  • Ensure all site paperwork, records, permits, inspections and documentation are completed accurately and to a high standard.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the project team, subcontractors and site workforce.
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, RAMS and project requirements.
  • Promote a strong health, safety, quality and environmental culture on site.
  • Identify potential issues early and take a proactive approach to resolving them.
  • Assist in maintaining programme performance and ensuring key project milestones are achieved.

About You

The successful candidate will have

  • Proven experience as a Sub Agent, Site Agent or similar site management position.
  • Strong experience within the water and wastewater sector.
  • A good understanding of construction processes and project delivery.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to complete associated paperwork to a high standard.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to site management.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage effectively with site teams, subcontractors and senior management.
  • The ability to identify issues early and drive solutions to keep the programme on track.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
