We're seeking an experienced MEICA Manager / Lead to oversee the delivery of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control (MEICA) works across multiple infrastructure projects. You'll provide technical leadership from design through commissioning, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery aligned with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all MEICA activities from project initiation through to completion
- Ensure designs are buildable and challenge solutions through value engineering
- Provide technical leadership across mechanical, electrical and control systems
- Manage a MEICA team working closely with civil, design, and delivery teams
- Coordinate MEICA design, interfaces, and interdependencies across programmes
- Lead both complex and non-complex projects to time, cost, and quality targets
Commercial, Programme & Supply Chain
- Manage operational and financial performance, including forecasting and reporting
- Oversee procurement, supply chain performance, and contractor delivery
- Allocate resources effectively to meet programme demands
- Support tendering and work-winning activities
Health, Safety & Quality
- Lead MEICA health & safety, including electrical safety procedures
- Promote a strong safety culture across all projects
- Ensure commissioning plans, ITPs, and quality documentation are in place
- Oversee daily operations to ensure safe, compliant delivery
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
- Manage stakeholder communications and key project messages
- Work collaboratively with project and change teams to ensure consistent delivery
- Resolve technical and delivery challenges in partnership with stakeholders
About You
Essential
- Proven experience as a MEICA Project Manager or Lead delivering multiple projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Methodical approach with a strong focus on quality and client outcomes
- Confident problem-solver with the ability to manage complex interfaces
Desirable
- Degree / HND / HNC (or equivalent)
- APM membership or certification (or equivalent experience)
- SMSTS / SSSTS
- CSCS card
- First Aid qualification
