Urban Connect are currently supporting a Principal Contractor who are working on Thames Water Major Projects and Lot 4 Thames Valley Frameworks with project values up to ÂŁ70m. The Design Manager will report into a Senior Design Manager and will have at least one designated Design Coordinator to support on their projects. It offers true hybrid work, mostly home based but with travel to site and client offices where required. On the back of a fairly recent restructure, this business is growing rapidly, particularly in the Thames region.
Key Responsibilities will be:
- Manage the development and implementation of design proposals ensuring they meet customer requirements including budget constraints, presenting proposals for approval to the customer.
- Manage the relationship for the whole project team - with the client, subcontractors and professional team resolve any queries.
- Provide advice and guidance on the “buildability” of the design proposals to the design and construction teams on all packages.
