Urban Biodiversity β the team behind Newquay Orchard - are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join our Education team, working with students at Newquay Orchard. Built by the community for the community, Newquay Orchard is an urban greenspace in the heart of Newquay. It is a space where people can come to grow, learn and relax together. We promote sustainability in all aspects of our work, be that as an organisation or on a personal level. Most importantly however we use our amazing environment to engage the entire community with the benefits of being outdoors.
The education team are a big part of the orchard community. Your role would be to provide support to our Education Officers and to learners with additional needs. You will guide learners during educational activities and assist them to achieve their full potential at Newquay Community Orchard. This will be both on our Newquay Orchard and Grown sites and with our associated employers offsite.
You will have experience of working with learners and young people with SEND and be passionate about supporting young people to meet their potential. The pay for this role is Β£13.45 per hour. The role is term-time only (1st September β 31st July) and we have various part-time hours available, subject to confirmation of funding.
