We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager in the Specialty Coffee Industry. As the Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the daily operations of our specialty coffee shop. You will ensure exceptional customer service, maintain high-quality standards, and create a positive and engaging work environment. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and team management.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service, maintaining product quality, and promptly resolving customer concerns or issues.
  • Lead, train, and inspire a team of coffee enthusiasts, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve sales targets, maximize profitability, and drive business growth.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and merchandise, placing orders as necessary to maintain product availability.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and hygienic work environment.
  • Uphold the quality and consistency of coffee preparation, ensuring adherence to company standards and providing guidance to the team.
  • Organize and coordinate special events, promotions, and marketing initiatives to drive customer engagement and increase sales.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new brewing techniques, and emerging coffee products, and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the specialty coffee industry or a similar managerial role is essential, demonstrating a deep understanding of specialty coffee and its culture.
  • Passion for specialty coffee with a strong knowledge of brewing techniques, coffee origins, and flavour profiles.
  • Proficiency in espresso extraction, including grind adjustment, dosing, and tamping techniques.
  • Skill in creating and pouring latte art designs, showcasing attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing and developing a team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, point-of-sale systems, and business operations.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Food handling certification and knowledge of health and safety regulations is a plus.
