Strategic HR Planning: Understand business needs and workforce dynamics to support the development and implementation of HR strategies in Singapore, with a focus on payroll optimization, benefits administration, and compliance, aligning with local laws. Align compensation structures and benefits programs with business objectives.
Payroll & Benefits Management: Oversee end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory requirements. Design and administer employee benefits programs (e.g., medical insurance, leave policies, retirement plans), regularly benchmarking against industry standards to ensure competitiveness.
Compensation Design & Analysis: Conduct market research on industry salary trends and benefits packages to propose data-driven recommendations for salary structures, allowances, and incentive schemes. Develop and maintain job grading systems linked to compensation bands, ensuring internal equity and external market alignment.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll accounts, manage budgeting for compensation programs, and audit payroll records. Work with legal teams to update policies in response to regulatory changes affecting payroll or benefits.
Employee Engagement: Regularly engage with staff to assess satisfaction with compensation and benefits, using feedback to refine programs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Knowledge of TIMESOFT HR system is a strong plus.
- Experience: 2+ years in HR roles with hands-on payroll & benefits administration experience, preferably in retail/apparel industries.
- Skills: Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail for error‑free payroll processing. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) for compensation analysis and reporting.
- Soft Skills: Proactive problem‑solving to address payroll/benefits issues efficiently. Resilience to manage peak periods (e.g., month‑end payroll, annual tax filings).
- Language: Spoken and Written: English and Mandarin Chinese.
