Data Scientist - Hedge Fund

Data Scientist, Graduate

Our client, a major hedge fund, is looking for a graduate or early‑career Data Scientist to join their growing London team.

You will be joining a PM\’s investment team building analysis pipelines across Market Data and Alternative Data, engaging directly with Portfolio Managers, Analysts and Traders to help improve their strategy and drive performance.

Qualifications

• 0‑2 yrs experience working as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer or Data Analyst with exposure to financial data, alternative data, or similar
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles (e.g., via Computer Science degree programme or on‑the‑job experience)
• Keen interest in financial markets
