Job description
We have a vacancy to join our team as a Housing Support Officer for our supported housing for people who have an assessed care and support need who may have, but not limited to a learning disability, physical disability or other complex care and support needs.
This role will be a hybrid role based in B90 Solihull area and WS3 Walsall area. Initial training and induction will take place in WS3 Walsall. FULL DRIVING LICENCE AND VEHICLE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE.
Full training will be provided.
The role will require you to provide housing related support for our tenants which will include:
1) Liaising with contactors and maintenance team. Arranging for, following through, monitoring and signing off maintenance and repair items falling outside of usual Landlord general repair and maintenance obligations.
2) Support the Housing Team to ensure all housing management functions including health and safety, risk assessments, fire checks, and compliance checks are completed by their due date, and that the relevant certification is received and logged appropriately.
3) Assistance on all housing and admin matters including tenancy agreements, guarantees, tenant welcome packs and associated tenant obligations.
4) Liaising with healthcare professionals and tenants to gather information, submit and chase welfare benefit applications.
5) Conduct health and safety audits taking into consideration the tenants disability and vulnerability.
6) Other general housing and property related support duties associated with providing high quality supported housing to less able and vulnerable people.
