Role Description
The Education Support Assistant is a full-time hybrid role based in Oldham, with some flexibility to work from home.
In this role, the assistant supports learners from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds to access education, skills, and employment opportunities.
Day-to-day tasks include providing one-to-one and group support, helping learners with study skills, digital skills, and basic administrative tasks related to courses or training programs.
The assistant will coordinate learning activities, maintain accurate records, and communicate progress to internal teams and partner organizations.
Additional responsibilities include contributing to outreach and engagement efforts, supporting workshops or events, and ensuring that all learners are treated with respect and supported in a non-judgmental, inclusive manner.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to support learners, including basic study support, coaching, and guidance in education or training environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse and disadvantaged communities.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including maintaining records, scheduling activities, and using standard office software and digital tools.
