Uptown Cheapskate is a buy-sell-trade fashion store for young adults. We carry thousands of mall and luxury brands at up to 80% off regular retail prices. We aim to make fashion more sustainable by giving new life to gently used clothes and shoes that aren’t being worn anymore.
We’re looking for part-time Keyholders to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Open or close the store, count out tills, and complete opening or closing tasks
- Act as shift lead if the manager or assistant manager are not in store
- Presort and buy incoming clothes, shoes, and accessories brought in from vendors (people from the community who want to sell to us)
- Organize racks, merchandise clothing, tag, and process products
- Ring out customers on the register and teach them how to sell to us
- Help make posts on our social media pages
- Monthly sales bonus potential
Compensation: $11.00 – $14.00 per hour

Uptown Cheapskate is an innovative retail concept that sells quality clothing brands at affordable prices. Each month, our franchise stores buy and resell thousands of gently used clothing items at a fraction of their original price. Our stores resemble boutiques more than thrift shops, creating a welcoming environment for shoppers of all styles and income levels.
We are passionate about sustainable fashion and dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of the fashion industry year-round. Supporting resale means benefiting your wallet, the environment, and promoting a sustainable economy.
Since 2015, Uptown Cheapskate has partnered with Kid to Kid and buildOn to raise funds for building schools in developing countries. To date, we have raised over $600,000 and funded 18 schools across Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Haiti, Nepal, Malawi, and Nicaragua, helping provide education for children in these communities.
