We are currently recruiting for a Fencing Operative
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fencing Operative to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining fencing systems across various sites. Your expertise will help ensure safety, security, and aesthetic appeal for our clients' properties. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to high-quality fencing projects that meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
Duties
- Install a variety of fencing types including wooden, metal, vinyl, and wire fences according to project specifications
- Measure and mark out fence lines accurately to ensure proper alignment and positioning
- Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, post drivers, and welding equipment to assemble and secure fencing components
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, digging post holes, and setting foundations for fence posts
- Conduct repairs on existing fences by replacing damaged panels or posts and reinforcing structures as needed
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate project timelines and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Fabricate custom fencing sections or accessories using welding or cutting techniques when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, masonry, roofing, or general construction work is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in fencing installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes is a plus
- Basic understanding of electrical or plumbing experience can be beneficial for integrated fencing solutions
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, measurements, and project plans accurately
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards throughout all tasks

Salary: £27,000-£35,000 per annum DOE
