The Domiciliary Care Support Worker provides safe, compassionate and person-centred care to individuals in their own homes. The role involves supporting service users to maintain their independence, dignity, wellbeing and quality of life.
Main responsibilities include assisting with personal care, medication, meal preparation, mobility, household tasks, companionship and community access. The Support Worker must follow individual care plans and risk assessments, maintain accurate care records, monitor changes in health and wellbeing, and report any concerns promptly.
The postholder is also responsible for promoting choice and independence, maintaining confidentiality, following safeguarding procedures, using equipment safely, complying with infection control requirements and working professionally with service users, families, colleagues and other health and social care professionals.
