The Residence Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily shift operations of the residential facility, coordinating staff training and orientation. Working in a team environment, the Residence Manager will ensure the services provided will enrich the lives of our individuals. The Residence Manager will ensure all records and reports are completed. The Residence Manager will monitor the operation and condition of the building and supplies. When necessary, the Residence Manager will perform the duties of the Direct Support Professional. The Residence Manager will also advocate for the individuals to be fully integrated into community life.
Core Responsibilities:
- Act as a role model demonstrating positive communication, good social skills, and emotional intelligence.
- Ensure Individual Program Plan (IPP) is implemented and documented.
- Ensure the accomplishment of individual’s goals and behaviour plans.
- Oversee the safety and well-being of the individuals.
- Maintain the timely completion of all records and reports, as directed.
- Supervise the daily shift operations of the residence.
- Problem-solve daily shift issues and/or conflicts as part of the site leadership team.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, petty cash and personal funds.
- Establish effective contact with all vendors.
- Monitor operation and condition of the residential facility and supplies, ensuring building security.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with the people we support, program employees, families, community agencies, and other agency departments.
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Human Services or related field, BS/BA preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs (Including Windows Office Suite).
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License.
