An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Nursery Practitioner / Room Leader at an independent children’s day nursery in Purley. Our client is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team, leading and inspiring a team of practitioners while supporting children through their early years in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team to ensure high standards of care and education.
  • Providing high-quality early years education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Planning, preparing, and evaluating engaging daily activities.
  • Conducting observations, planning next steps, and supporting children's development.
  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers to enhance learning experiences.
  • Ensuring the smooth daily running of the room, creating a positive and collaborative environment.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in childcare (e.g., NVQ, NNEB, CACHE, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an early years setting.
  • Strong understanding and experience with the EYFS framework.
  • Knowledge of observations and developmental reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
