Part‑time, contract engagement – 2 days per week or equivalent hours. Equivalent to £40,000‑£45,000 FTE depending on working pattern, with flexibility for fractional consultancy / freelance arrangements.

Location: House of Sport, 190 Great Dover Street, London, SE1 4YB. Remote work from home with occasional travel.

Upshot was originally developed by the Football Foundation – The Premier League, The FA and Government’s charity, to manage, monitor and evidence community projects. We set up as an independent Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2021 and provide wrap‑around Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) services. This includes an easy‑to‑use online system for funders and deliverers; impact framework creation; MEL capacity‑building workshops and reporting support.

We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Consultant to play a key role in shaping how we tell our story and reach the right organisations. This is an exciting opportunity to join us at a pivotal stage and build the foundations of our first dedicated marketing function. You’ll help raise awareness of Upshot, strengthen our positioning, and attract organisations that are looking for a trusted partner to help them turn data into insight and better decisions.

In this role, you’ll lead on creating compelling content, sharpening our messaging, and delivering focused campaigns across channels including our website, LinkedIn and email. You’ll work closely with colleagues across growth, product and consultancy to bring our offer to life, develop case studies and thought leadership, and improve the journey from first enquiry to meaningful conversation.

We’re looking for a confident and capable marketer with strong writing skills, sound judgement and a practical, proactive approach. You might come from a consultancy, SaaS, charity or values‑led organisation, and you’ll be comfortable building as you go in a collaborative, fast‑moving environment.
