Multi Drop Van Driver in Washington

Job Opening: MEDICAL MULTI DROP VAN DRIVER – DAYS – B LICENCE

Location: Polar Speed UPS, Unit 2 Glover Network Centre, Glover Industrial Estate, Spire Road, Washington, Tyne and Wear, NE37 3HB

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 7am start

Hourly rate: £12.71

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities

• Managing the scanning of packages or pallets to your delivery vehicle
• Managing the safe and secure loading of all consignments to your vehicle
• Conducting daily diligence on vehicle safety checks and refrigeration unit
• Reporting any issues found on the vehicle checks to your line manager
• Ensure the vehicle is always at the correct temperature
• Delivering and collecting pharmaceutical consignments to addresses including GP Surgeries, Retail Pharmacies, Hospitals, Wholesalers and home delivery patients.
• Physical checking and scanning of all consignments at the delivery point
• Managing the returns process of all consignments.

Specialised Knowledge / Requirements

• Experience in multi drop deliveries with customer contact
• Previous home and/or hospital delivery experience desired but not essential
• Category B Licence with ideally no more than 3 points
• Minimum 2 years driving experience
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Flexibility and prepared to work additional hours to suit the needs of the business which may be of an urgent medical nature

Note: successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check and reference checks for a minimum period of the last 3 years.
