Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with management and leadership teams to analyse current workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Work with management and leadership teams to optimize space utilization and inventory layout to improve accessibility and reduce travel times.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to provide training and support on best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between warehouse teams and management to communicate challenges and successes.
  • Promote a positive and productive work environment to enhance morale and performance.
  • Support cycle counting and inventory reconciliation activities, including annual stock checks.
  • Assist with the implementation, optimization and any migration of a WMS system.
  • Train and sign off staff on new processes to maximise adoption and effectiveness.
  • Enforce adherence to health and safety standards to protect team members.
  • Onboard new staff members, ensuring an effective learning process of training and signoff.
  • Effective communication of issues both internally and externally, ensuring issues are escalated to warehouse operations management when required.
  • Accurate and efficient picking, checking and packing of pharmaceutical products.
  • Receipt of inbound stock, ensuring temperature compliance is maintained.
  • Accurate completion of all goods in, picking, packing and despatch paperwork.
  • Entering shipping and inventory data in the warehouse management system.
  • Processing of returns (including quarantined, damaged and batch recalls).
  • Ensure the highest level of hygiene is maintained throughout the warehouse, in accordance with GDP regulations.
  • When directed by a manager, undertake any other task appropriate to the skills and responsibilities of a warehouse operative.
  • Provide reports to warehouse leadership team and management when required.
  • Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse, where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level.
  • Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the warehouse supervisors and/or manager.

Accountability:

  • Following of relevant procedures outlined in the current standard operating procedures and ensuring that any warehouse briefings are followed.
  • Handling of consignments in an accurate and timely manner ensuring the products stay within the required temperature range.
  • Reporting of all accidents/incidents to the line manager.
