The Air Export Clerk within the Air Freight Operations department is responsible for coordinating and managing export air freight shipments from booking through to final departure, ensuring all shipments are processed accurately, compliantly, and in line with customer and airline requirements.

  • Coordinate international air export shipments from collection through to airline departure.
  • Create and manage export files within CargoWise/CW1 or operational systems.
  • Arrange collections with transport providers and monitor shipment progress.
  • Book cargo with airlines and handling agents to meet required transit times.
  • Prepare and check export documentation including HAWB/MAWB, Commercial invoices, Packing lists, Export customs declarations, and Security screening documentation.
  • Ensure all shipment details including weights, dimensions, routing, and descriptions are accurate.
  • Send pre-alerts and shipping documentation to overseas offices and customers.
  • Monitor flight departures and ensure all milestones are updated correctly within operational systems.
  • Resolve operational issues including delays, offloads, customs holds, or documentation discrepancies.
