Based at Polar Speed Distribution Ltd, 648 River Gardens, Feltham, TW14 0RB
Tuesday to Saturday days 0830-1730 (40 hours)
Responsibilities:
- Daily co-ordination and monitoring of company drivers and sub-contractors and develop excellent working relationships with internal departments.
- Provide support and assistance when dealing with special requirements and inform the customer service team.
- Produce daily reports, which detail any transport issues within the company network.
- Brief and debrief drivers.
- Ensure the temperature compliance has been maintained by reviewing journey ticket print outs.
- Collate fuel and wages information.
- Assist with operational telephone calls.
- Liaise with trunk drivers to report ETAs and collection point departures.
- Ensure that routes are finalized on Polar track (in house database).
- Carry out periodic spot checks of driver vehicles.
- Report any vehicle or fridge defects to the fleet manager.
- Ad-hoc driver sickness cover and induction training for new drivers.
