Join UPS Supply Chain Solutions (UPS SCS) as an Area Sales Manager (ASM) and lead high-performing sales teams in one of the most dynamic segments of logistics: healthcare and cold-chain supply chains. In this senior leadership role, you will guide a team of National Account Executives, Account Executives and Inside Sales Executives responsible for strategic portfolios ranging from midmarket clients to multimillion dollar national accounts. You will coach, inspire, and empower your team to deliver strong commercial performance. As an ASM, you’ll combine strategic leadership with hands-on market engagement—driving new business development, optimizing account strategies, and representing UPS SCS as a trusted partner to the healthcare industry. This role is ideal for a commercially focused leader who thrives on developing talent, driving revenue growth, and steering customer success at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead & Develop the Sales Team
    • Manage and mentor a team of National Account Executives, Account Executives and Inside Sales Executives
    • Provide coaching on strategic selling, opportunity management, and healthcare focused solution design
    • Foster a performance-driven, collaborative, and customer-centric culture
    • Conduct regular field visits, joint customer meetings, and pipeline coaching sessions
    • Set clear expectations, KPIs, and development plans for each team member
  • Drive Strategic & Commercial Growth
    • Own regional revenue performance across mid-market and national healthcare accounts
    • Implement sales strategies that expand customer portfolios and increase wallet share
    • Support your team in preparing and negotiating complex RFQs, multimodal bids, and long-term contracts
    • Identify new market opportunities within pharma, biotech, MedTech, and clinical trial logistics
  • Ensure Customer Excellence
    • Oversee strategic account planning and ensure alignment with operational and quality teams
    • Maintain strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders
    • Act as an executive escalation point for major service or compliance issues
    • Ensure team proposals adhere to UPS SCS’s healthcare and cold chain standards
  • Optimize Reporting & Forecasting
    • Ensure accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM hygiene
    • Report performance, risks, and growth opportunities to senior leadership
    • Align commercial activities with national and global UPS SCS healthcare strategies
