Monday to Friday: 7am start, 40 hours per week. £13.04 per hour Monday to Friday, overtime on weekends and bank holidays £19.56 per hour.
London Allowances: £13 per day if 66% of route covers London congestion zone, £13 per day if 66% of route covers M25.
Job Purpose And Key Responsibilities
- Manage the scanning of packages or pallets to your delivery vehicle.
- Manage the safe and secure loading of all consignments to your vehicle.
- Conduct daily diligence on vehicle safety checks and the refrigeration unit.
- Report any issues found on vehicle checks to the line manager prior to despatch.
- Ensure vehicle is in temperature prior to loading.
- Delivery and collection of pharmaceutical consignments to GP Surgeries, Retail Pharmacies, Hospitals, Wholesalers and Home Delivery Patients.
- Physical checking and scanning of all consignments at delivery point.
- Communication of all operational delays or delivery failures as soon as known to the managers.
- Correct completion of APOD/Driver Manifest/Collection and Refusal paperwork.
- Managing the returns process of all consignments entering the local depot by scanning all consignments to the forwarding depot.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the company vehicle.
- Maintain cleanliness of company uniform and ensure correct PPE is worn, Safety shoes/boots and Hi Viz vests.
- Ensure a clean driving licence is maintained and communication of new offences reported immediately.
Requirements
- Minimum category B Drivers Licence with ideally no more than 3 points.
- Previous home and/or hospital temperature controlled delivery experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
- Previous experience in multi drop deliveries with customer contact.
- Minimum 2 years driving experience including motorways.
- Must be able to build effective working relationships with other departments, i.e Customer Services, and colleagues, and Senior Site Manager and Depot Shift Managers.
- Must appreciate the need for maintaining client confidentiality.
- Good communication skills.
