The position is responsible for providing support to numerous groups within the Industrial Engineering (IE) function. You will assist in conducting data gathering and analysis to support the work measurement and operational planning activities of the Industrial Engineering Supervisors. This position compiles data, develops reports, conducts periodic audits, and produces forecasts. You will participate in time study and operational improvement activities. Industrial Engineering is involved in every aspect of measuring, planning, implementation, and training our operations in UPS. The goal of the department is to support and strengthen the company's vision and strategy by providing the support required for the organisation to reach and exceed our goals.
Timetable: 37.5 hours per week; 12h00-22h00 (core hours 14h00-20h00)

Strategic Role: Work in a department central to measuring and planning UPS operations.
Travel Opportunities: Occasional travel to other UPS facilities may be required.
What You'll Do:
- Operational Planning: Planning volume levels and operating plans for the London Hub.
- Optimisation: Optimising line-ups and setups.
- Work Measurement: Completing Work Measurement of all Hub sorts and verifying the proper application of work measurement to ensure accuracy.
- Implementation: Implementation and training of new and revised technology, procedures, and practices.
- Auditing: Conducting audits to identify areas and processes not in compliance with standards.
- Corrective Action: Discussing and recording non-compliant exceptions and developing action plans to obtain management corrective action commitments.
- Forecasting: Assessing the impact of long and short-range forecasts on operating plans and maintaining tracking spreadsheets for future reference.
- Reporting: Responding to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests and utilising various programs to compile statistical reports.
- Staffing: Developing annual staffing projections based on trends.

- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Systems Management: The ability to resolve issues related to information systems reporting, report generation, and data integration.
- Flexibility: Flexibility to meet operational requirements.
