Overview

We are looking for a Multi skilled Engineer with industrial experience to be based in Tamworth. This position maintains maintenance activities at UPS package handling facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inspection, troubleshooting, adjusting, and replacement of electrical equipment, mechanical components, and pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment.
  • Work across a variety of shifts (morning, evening, night) with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Mechanical & Electrical troubleshooting, reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance of conveyor systems and ancillary equipment.
  • Fault finding on conveyor belt systems, motor control circuits, and single and 3-phase power supplies; carry out and report on preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Welding experience is a benefit but not required.
  • Responsible for building maintenance, including heating, electrical and ventilation repairs.
  • Willingness to work a weekly rotating 3-shift pattern with flexibility on start/finish times and potential call-outs.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team; full training provided.

Qualifications

  • Preferred electrical qualifications.
  • Programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams.
