- Job Title: Medical Multi Drop B Licence Driver
- Job Location: Polar Speed UPS – 7 Chartmoor Road, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 4WG
- Work schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 6.30am to 7am start, 40 to 48 hours per week. Flexibility is required to suit the needs of the business which may be of an urgent medical nature.
Job Purpose And Responsibilities
- Manage the scanning of packages of pallets to your delivery vehicle.
- Manage the safe and secure loading of all consignments to your vehicle.
- Conduct daily diligence on vehicle safety checks and refrigeration unit.
- Report any issues found on the vehicle checks to your line manager prior to dispatch.
- Ensure vehicle is in temperature prior to loading.
- Delivery and collection of pharmaceutical consignments to addresses including GP Surgeries, Retail Pharmacies, Hospitals, Wholesalers and Home Delivery Patients.
Required Skills And Specialized Knowledge
- Minimum category B Drivers Licence, with ideally no more than 3 points
- Minimum 2 Years Driving Experience Including On Motorways
- Previous multi drop experience in temperature controlled deliveries desired but not essential
- Good communication Skills
- Must appreciate the need for maintaining confidentiality
- Must be able to build effective working relationships with customers/clients, depot manager/team leaders/colleagues
- Previous home or hospital delivery experience preferred but not essential
- For successful candidates, Polar Speed will conduct an enhanced DBS check and 3 years referencing including any gaps in employment.
