RH Logistics Polar Speed, a UPS Company, offers specialised logistics solutions services, including dedicated transport services, White Glove services, high-tech warehousing, technical services, spare parts management, and demo systems management. Our driving team delivers and collects high-value medical equipment around the UK to and from NHS and private hospitals, as well as medical conferences.
Job Location: Polar Speed UPS, Unit 4, Eastman Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 4SZ. Please note we are looking for drivers who live in Stevenage or the surrounding areas only.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - 42.5 hours per week - various shift patterns, flexibility is required to suit the needs of the business, which may be of an urgent medical nature.
Hourly Rate: £12.75 per hour Monday to Friday, weekend and bank holiday working £19.12 per hour.
Training: Full training will be provided.
Requirements:
- Minimum category B driver licence, ideally no more than 3 points
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience including the motorway
- Comprehensive driving background, with technical experience in fragile transport with knowledge of lock and load ratchet system
- Good communication skills with the ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent organisational skills
- Must appreciate the need for confidentiality
- Team player mentality, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, Team Leaders, and other departments across the UK network
