The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Salary: Rutland National Joint Council 2.3 (£12.85/ hour)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Working Hours: 10.30am - 3.00pm (with 30 minute, unpaid break), Monday to Friday

Working weeks: 39 weeks per year (term-time, plus 1 week)

Contract type: Permanent

As Kitchen Assistant you would be working as part of the kitchen team to ensure crockery and cookware is clean and assist with other kitchen tasks as required.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Team work: Ability to work well with cooks, catering staff, and Catering Manager in a busy kitchen environment, especially during busy break and lunch times.
  • Time Management: Being punctual and able to work efficiently to help prepare, serve, and clean up meals within tight school schedules.
  • Reliability & Responsibility: Showing consistency, trustworthiness, and a good work ethic—important when working around children and food services.
  • Food Hygiene & Safety Awareness: Desirable, however training will be given. Understanding basic food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
