Upperton Advice is a growing mortgage brokerage focused on helping first-time buyers become mortgage-ready through clear, straightforward advice. As the business continues to expand with some exciting upcoming changes this year, we are looking for a Trainee Mortgage Adviser to join the team and develop into a fully competent adviser. This role is ideal for someone who already holds (or is working towards) CeMAP and wants structured support, real client exposure, and a clear pathway into providing regulated mortgage and insurance advice.
You will begin by supporting client cases, learning our advice process, and working closely with an experienced adviser, with the goal of progressing into delivering mortgage and insurance advice yourself. This is not just a job — it’s a genuine long-term career opportunity within a growing business.
What You’ll Be Doing (Initially)
- Supporting mortgage and insurance applications from enquiry through to completion
- Assisting with client communication via phone, email and video calls
- Preparing documents and liaising with lenders, solicitors and providers
- Learning the full mortgage advice process and compliance requirements
- Supporting existing clients with reviews and ongoing service
- Working closely with the adviser and admin team to ensure smooth case progression
- Developing knowledge across mortgages, protection, and the home-buying journey
