About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract, working part-time from Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders, assisting with stock control, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy, and can contribute effectively to a small, fast-paced warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all products are prepared for timely dispatch.
- Assist with unloading, checking, and storing incoming deliveries.
- Replenish picking bays and storage areas to maintain stock availability.
- Carry out regular stock checks and support with full stock takes as required.
- Report any stock discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., pallet trucks or forklifts, if trained and certified).
- Monitor packaging materials and consumables, notifying the supervisor when supplies need replenishing.
- Follow daily instructions and priorities from the Warehouse Supervisor or Logistics Manager.
- Support general warehouse duties as required to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

- Accuracy of order picking and packing.

- Adherence to health and safety standards (zero incidents).
- Stock accuracy and reporting reliability.
- Maintenance of high housekeeping standards.

Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred but not essential β full training provided.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with stock systems desirable.
- Forklift licence advantageous but not required.
