About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract, working part-time from Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders, assisting with stock control, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy, and can contribute effectively to a small, fast-paced warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all products are prepared for timely dispatch.
  • Assist with unloading, checking, and storing incoming deliveries.
  • Replenish picking bays and storage areas to maintain stock availability.
  • Carry out regular stock checks and support with full stock takes as required.
  • Report any stock discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Ensure all work areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., pallet trucks or forklifts, if trained and certified).
  • Monitor packaging materials and consumables, notifying the supervisor when supplies need replenishing.
  • Follow daily instructions and priorities from the Warehouse Supervisor or Logistics Manager.
  • Support general warehouse duties as required to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Accuracy of order picking and packing.
  • Timeliness of order completion and dispatch.
  • Adherence to health and safety standards (zero incidents).
  • Stock accuracy and reporting reliability.
  • Maintenance of high housekeeping standards.
  • Consistent timekeeping, attendance, and teamwork.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred but not essential – full training provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with stock systems desirable.
  • Forklift licence advantageous but not required.
