The role

We are looking for a commercially minded, highly organised Supply Planner to own supply execution across the business.

This is a broad, cross-functional role responsible for ensuring approved purchases, new product launches and replenishment orders move efficiently from business approval through ERP, PO placement, supplier confirmation, production and delivery.

The role will act as the operational link between Product Development, Sales, Finance, China Operations, Vendors, Freight and UK/EU Operations, driving accountability against agreed CRDs and ensuring products and ranges arrive On Time In Full.

  • What you can expect
  • Supply Planning & PO Ownership
  • Own the supply plan for approved purchases, launches and replenishment orders.
  • Manage purchase orders within the ERP from approval through to receipt.
  • Ensure POs align with approved spend, quantities, costs, suppliers and agreed dates.
  • Coordinate the handover of approved POs to the China team and vendors.
  • Maintain accurate PO, CRD and delivery information and identify supply risks early.
  • CRD & Launch Execution
  • Own and maintain the business CRD and supply critical path.
  • Drive adherence to agreed CRDs across Product Development, China Operations and suppliers.
  • Ensure new products and ranges progress through approvals and into production on time.
  • Chase outstanding specifications, artwork, approvals and other critical actions.
  • Highlight and escalate risks before they impact launch or delivery dates.
  • China Team & Supplier Coordination
  • Ensure approved POs are placed with vendors promptly.
  • Chase Proforma Invoices and drive timely PI review and sign-off.
  • Monitor supplier progress against production and shipping milestones.
  • Work closely with the China team to resolve issues and protect agreed timelines.
  • Track supplier and vendor OTIF performance.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Act as the operational link between Product Development, Sales, Finance, China, Vendors, Freight and Operations.
  • Chair regular supply and CRD reviews, maintaining clear actions, ownership and deadlines.
  • Drive actions through to completion, challenge missed deadlines and remove execution bottlenecks.
  • Provide clear visibility of supply risks, priorities and exceptions to the wider business.
  • Reporting & Inventory
  • Support inventory health, aged stock reduction and stock balancing initiatives.
  • Continually improve reporting and business visibility through ERP data.

About you

This role allows for a high level of ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

We are looking for someone to act as the linchpin, driving the business against the agreed critical path - someone commercially aware, very organised, strong with ERP/data, but equally comfortable picking up the phone, challenging people and driving actions through to completion.

We are considering candidates from Supply Planning, Purchasing, Merchandising, Production Planning or broader Supply Chain Operations backgrounds, particularly where they have experience with Far East suppliers, product development and critical-path management.

  • Confident challenging stakeholders and driving actions to closure.
  • Strong ERP, Excel and operational reporting skills.
  • Experience in supply planning, purchasing, merchandising, production planning or supply chain operations.
  • Commercially aware and comfortable working with purchasing budgets and inventory and experience with supplier negotiations to drive commercial decisions.
  • Experience with Far East suppliers, product development and new product launches would be particularly valuable.

The core objective of this role is: approved products, ranges and purchase orders delivered on time, in full and in line with the agreed business critical path.

  • Approved purchases move quickly and accurately into the ERP and supplier base.
  • POs are placed promptly and accurately, with signed PIs secured without delaying production.
  • Product Development and supplier actions remain on critical path.
  • CRDs are treated as firm business commitments and risks are escalated early.
  • Management has clear visibility of supply performance and exceptions.
  • New products and ranges launch when planned and purchase orders arrive On Time In Full.
