We are a small, friendly Church of England primary school with a strong sense of community and mixed-age classes. We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within EYFS/KS1, supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing. Working closely with the class teacher and wider staff team, the successful candidate will:
- Support learning for individuals and small groups across Early Years and Key Stage 1
- Help create a positive, calm and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children's early literacy, numeracy, communication and play-based learning
- Provide encouragement and care to help children develop confidence and independence
- Support children during transitions, playtimes and daily routines
- Adapt support to meet the needs of children within a mixed-age setting
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with young children and understands how they learn through play and exploration
- Is patient, kind and flexible
- Can work effectively as part of a small, close knit team
- Has experience working with children
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
