Upper Arley C of E Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Sports Coach and KS2 Forest School Lead. This is a unique opportunity to inspire pupils through high-quality physical education and outdoor learning. The successful candidate will promote healthy lifestyles, teamwork and resilience, while delivering engaging Forest School sessions that connect children with nature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across the school, alongside some PPA cover where needed.
  • Lead a sports club.
  • Coordinate and deliver KS2 Forest School sessions.
  • Support pupils in developing confidence, teamwork and physical skills.
  • Ensure activities are safe, inclusive and accessible for all pupils.
  • Maintain equipment and outdoor learning spaces.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider school community.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has experience coaching sport or working in a primary school setting.
  • Holds a Forest School qualification.
  • Is passionate about outdoor learning and child development.
  • Can motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities.
  • Demonstrates strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
