Part-Time Cleaner (Heavy Duty) in London

We currently have a great opportunity for a Heavy-Duty Cleaner to join our team in Wood Lane, West London.

This is a permanent part- time position working 25 hours per week from 6am to 11am Monday to Friday. The hourly rate is circa £15.89.

The Heavy-Duty Cleaner will primarily undertake the heavy lifting and removal of refuse area (general, recycling and glass bottles). Most areas only have stair access, and the role requires high levels of manual handling.

Role Responsibilities Include:

• Monitoring and clearing the bin stores and basement areas- taking bins up for collection on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (no collection on Wednesday). And taking them back to bin store after collection. These bins will need to be priority as the collection can come very early
• Jest washing around the external of the building
• Litter picking around the external of the building
• Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpets, sweep and polish floors and clean stairs
• Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators, lampshades, as appropriate
• Empty waste bins and remove rubbish and glass from flats to bin store areas
• Litter picking outside of the building
• Clean internal & external windows, where applicable
• Painting in communal areas and flats
• Undertake training as required
• To act in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices
• Other duties as commensurate with the post

We are looking for you to already have experience of heavy-duty / deep cleaning in a similar environment and have great communication and organisation skills, along with an attention to detail and the passion to always do an excellent job.

You will need to have a good conversational standard of the English language and an ability to read and interpret our Health & Safety guidance. You will also be flexible to work (with notice) additional hours when the need arises, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
