We are looking for eight Call Centre Assistants to join the UPP accommodation team, based at the Reading University campus, to help during the busy clearing period in August and September. You will be assisting us in taking calls, answering emails, and supporting new students through the accommodation application process. There will be two days of paid training on our accommodation management system, on customer service skills, and process tracking to ensure that you are confident and competent in the role. This is the perfect role for a University of Reading student, looking for summer work.
We are ideally looking for you to be:
- An outgoing and effective communicator
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer experience
- Excellent via telephone communication and good writing skills
- Organised, accurate, and detail oriented
- Able to contribute to a fast paced team
- Computer literate
- Knowledgeable of University Halls of Residence, so an ideal role if you have lived in University of Reading accommodation
We are looking for you to be available from the 10th August through to the 4th September 2026.
In return, we are offering: £12.98 per hour and a great team to work in. Our service hours will be between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday from the 13th August, with training commencing on the 10th and 11th August. The team will be in place for a minimum of four weeks, with the potential for extending this to up to 6-8 weeks. There will also be an opportunity for some weekend work. As this is not a customer facing role, we have a casual dress code.
