Here at UPP we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Management Assistant to join our Kings Cross/Euston team. The hourly rate is £14.84.

The Facilities Management Assistant will be responsible for operating the Reception Desk, and a computerised system that controls real time helpdesk monitoring for reactive and planned maintenance work.

Role responsibilities include:
  • Provide an excellent and comprehensive reception service to the residence and to the offices; keep records of all visitors, contractors and issue keys when required
  • Assist the relevant manager(s) in the co-ordination of all on-site activities and day to day administration plus complete all regular reporting
  • Carry out walks of the residence and grounds, monitoring and reporting any security/safety issues to the relevant manager
  • Monitor the conduct of students, encouraging reasonable and fair behaviour, reporting any breach of the Code of Conduct and license agreement
  • Manage and monitor out of hours access to the residence, ensuring compliance with fire, health & safety procedures and any relevant residence instructions
  • Liaise, as necessary, with other UPP staff, university clients, sub-contractors, residents and conference delegates

We are looking for you to have experience in a similar role and environment with great communication and organisation skills, along with an attention to detail and the passion to work as a team to do an excellent job. Offers of employment are subject to satisfactory vetting, inclusive of employment referencing covering the past three years and you may be subject to additional vetting and barring checks to ensure your suitability for the role, which could include completing a basic DBS.
