UPP currently has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Technician (Electrical) to join our team. This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week from 09:00hrs to 17:00hrs Monday to Friday.Salary Circa. £39, 654. Location Leeds Carnegie Village.The Multi-Skilled Technician (Electrical) will work as a member of a team providing both a planned and responsive maintenance service, specialising in electrical and mechanical repairs.This role requires a full clean driving licence.Is also required to be on call 1 week in 3.Planned and Reactive MaintenanceUndertake maintenance within the residences in a safe working environment, assessing all Health and Safety issues before work commences and report any hazards identified to the relevant ManagerCarry out emergency light testing and repairs.Carry out RCD/RCBO tests during routine planned maintenance.Carry out thermal imaging, records and repairs.Carry out reactive maintenance in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and provide front line response for all electrical workCarry out PPM in accordance with the scheduleMaintain accurate records of breakdowns and maintenance repairs, including records for statutory complianceLiaise with specialist sub-contractorsAssist the wider team when needed.Statutory TestingCarry out statutory testing including PAT testing, fire alarm testing, fire door testing and others, as required.Health and SafetyReport any Health and Safety issues relating to the residences ensuring all information is passed to the relevant personsRegular near miss reporting.liaise with the site team any electrical works on site.OtherAssist colleagues in other trades and locations as and when the need arisesUndertake training as requiredParticipate in an on call rota 1 in 3.Be prepared to work additional hours especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends - Some weekends are mandatory when outtake and Intake events happen.Other duties as commensurate with the postEducation/ QualificationsEssential criteriaCity & Guilds 236 / 2360 / 2365 / 2000 / 2330 / 2397 or equivalent EAL electrical qualification to Year 2 / Level 3City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Wiring RegulationsDesirable criteriaCity & Guilds 2391 or City & Guilds 2394 / 5 or EAL equivalentCity & Guilds 2377 – Portable Appliance TestingNET Practical Assessment AM2Offers of employment are subject to satisfactory vetting, inclusive of employment referencing covering the past three years and you may be subject to additional vetting and barring checks to ensure your suitability for the role, which could include completing a basic DBS.In return, we are offering a competitive salary and a great benefits package including cycle to work scheme, pension, store discounts 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, life insurance and many other perks.We are a team of people with energy, pace and passion; if that sounds like you, apply now.
