We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to join our team. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday. The salary is £13,542.99 per annum.
This role will be responsible for cleaning the designated areas for our student accommodation including bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens and all white goods contained in the kitchens. This will include:
- Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpets, sweep and polish floors and clean stairs
- Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators, lampshades as appropriate
- Empty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin store areas
- During the summer season only: Make beds, including stripping and changing sheeting collection of laundered linen from store, bag and pack laundry for collection
- Clean internal and external windows, where applicable
- Clean and wash glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils, as appropriate
- Daily liaison with the residents, Residence Managers and associated UPP staff
- Act in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices at all times

We are looking for you to already have experience of cleaning in a similar environment and have great communication and organisation skills, along with an attention to detail and the passion to do an excellent job. You will need to have a good conversational standard of the English language and an ability to read and interpret our Health & Safety guidance. You will also be prepared to work (with notice) at other sites if required and additional hours when the need arises, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
