Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Office Manager to support the smooth and efficient running of our office. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a central role in office administration, purchasing, HR processes, and quality systems, helping to ensure our operations are efficient, compliant, and well supported.
About UPP: UPP supplies nutritious, allergen-free ingredients for a wide range of food products, supporting food manufacturers to reduce costs while achieving sustainability goals. UPP is dedicated to creating low-cost, sustainable, and nutritious plant-based protein and fibre products using overlooked agricultural resources, such as broccoli waste. With a strong focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, UPP has developed a patent-protected Automated Selective Harvester, powered by machine learning, to reduce harvest costs and increase farmer profitability. UPP collaborates with innovation partners including the James Hutton Institute.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office & Facilities Management: Act as the main point of contact for all office management activities.
- Welcome and support visitors: Organise internal and external meetings, conferences, and events.
- Administration & Purchasing: Ensure purchasing processes are efficient and well controlled. Manage the general and administrative office budget.
- HR & People: Support and maintain HR policies and procedures. Assist with onboarding and induction of new team members.
- Quality & Compliance: Support the implementation and maintenance of the Company’s Quality Management System.
