Personal attributes:
- Senior HR/OD professional having substantial and broad experience in a variety of HR/OD roles, including providing leadership to an HR/OD team.
- Experience of leading the design and delivery of best practice people strategies, driving significant cultural and structural change in multi-site organisations, having influenced senior leaders.
- Experience of organisation development, talent management and succession planning, culture change and employee relations will be important.
- Proven record of managing change programmes in organisations, ‘making things happen’, operating at pace and delivering effectively through others.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law issues and the ability to apply these using a pragmatic approach.
- Graduate educated (or equivalent).
- Post Graduate Diploma in HR and/or Masters Degree.
- Member or Fellow of CIPD.
- Strong leadership skills which are able to quickly establish credibility and respect.
- Able to build strong working relations and influence and persuade others.
- Is an energetic, enthusiastic, values-led individual with a pro-active, ‘can do’ approach.
- Numerate with good analytical skills, able to understand charity finances and the ability to use this information to support initiatives in the most appropriate way.
- A strategic thinker with pragmatic, practical hands-on approach.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Feel motivated by a strong social ethos and/or possess the desire to make a difference in our society.
- The ability to engage and collaborate with a variety of groups with varying agendas in an evolving environment.
