The role of Plant Planner / Scheduler is to develop and maintain a finished goods supply plan for multiple affiliates in the UK & EU Region through working collaboratively with customer service, demand planning, and the manufacturing team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production Planning
- Manages the Daily Production Plan / short term plan to the plant and is the primary contact for any issues relating to it.
- Manages the short-term & long-term element of the production schedule in terms of creating process orders, smoothing and sequencing them to make best use of available capacity and minimise down time.
- Effective communication of Production plan to the production facility and monitor its performance against these plans.
- Ensures that capacity and material feasibility are checked for the Daily Production Schedule and highlights in a timely manner any capacity or Material constraints that will prevent us meeting business needs.
- Communicates any customer/shipment orders that cannot be accommodated in the schedule.
- Attend routine Site Meetings.
- Calculate the raw material requirements to meet production demands from forecast/SNP.
- Review supply requirements from the monthly SNP output in line with current capacity and throughput assumptions and highlight any areas of risk.
- Manage the Purchase Plan as it relates to supply of product to be given to procurement for creation of Purchase requisitions.
- Track manufacturing schedule adherence with appropriate escalation as required.
- Input data sheet with Planned verses Actuals.
- Reschedule production if there is a problem with raw material.
- Aiming for 3 month rolling planning schedule and long term 15 months plan as per SNP demand.
- Request for SKU amendments on master data queries.
- Identify and manage items at risk of becoming aged or excess and implement plans to ensure there is always zero write off / expiry of product.
- Conduct current and future inventory analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in chemistry or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Planning role.
- Experience of working with ERP tool such as SAP.
