The role of Plant Planner / Scheduler is to develop and maintain a finished goods supply plan for multiple affiliates in the UK & EU Region through working collaboratively with customer service, demand planning, and the manufacturing team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production Planning
  • Manages the Daily Production Plan / short term plan to the plant and is the primary contact for any issues relating to it.
  • Manages the short-term & long-term element of the production schedule in terms of creating process orders, smoothing and sequencing them to make best use of available capacity and minimise down time.
  • Effective communication of Production plan to the production facility and monitor its performance against these plans.
  • Ensures that capacity and material feasibility are checked for the Daily Production Schedule and highlights in a timely manner any capacity or Material constraints that will prevent us meeting business needs.
  • Communicates any customer/shipment orders that cannot be accommodated in the schedule.
  • Attend routine Site Meetings.
  • Planning of Raw Material
    • Calculate the raw material requirements to meet production demands from forecast/SNP.
    • Review supply requirements from the monthly SNP output in line with current capacity and throughput assumptions and highlight any areas of risk.
    • Manage the Purchase Plan as it relates to supply of product to be given to procurement for creation of Purchase requisitions.
    • Track manufacturing schedule adherence with appropriate escalation as required.
    • Input data sheet with Planned verses Actuals.
    • Reschedule production if there is a problem with raw material.
    • Aiming for 3 month rolling planning schedule and long term 15 months plan as per SNP demand.
    • Request for SKU amendments on master data queries.
  • Other
    • Identify and manage items at risk of becoming aged or excess and implement plans to ensure there is always zero write off / expiry of product.
    • Conduct current and future inventory analysis.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in chemistry or equivalent.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in Planning role.
    • Experience of working with ERP tool such as SAP.
