Salary: £32,677 per annum + Contributory Pension (Subject to Uplift in April 2025) Post will also receive Company Vehicle & Plant
40 hours per week – Permanent
22 days annual leave/15 public holidays pro rata
Upkeep is looking to take on a Joiner who will be part of Upkeep’s expanding void property and housing maintenance team, which delivers a multi-trade service to Upkeep’s parent company, Shettleston Housing Association and other external clients.
The successful candidates will join an organisation that believes its people are vital to our ongoing success.
The successful candidates will be provided with all relevant personal protection equipment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Deliver a kitchen replacement and maintenance service in connection with the Upkeep void property and housing maintenance service and elsewhere as required.
2. Provide a reactive maintenance service in domestic properties and common areas of tenement closes with regard to joiner works.
3. Carry out agreed performance monitoring procedures and quality control.
4. Be conversant with current Health and Safety at Work Legislation and ensure that all joiner works and maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety Regulations
5. Have a working knowledge of all statutory regulations, standards and codes of practice
6. Must be able to demonstrate the successful completion of a recognise trade qualification and provide relevant documents and be time served
7. Assist in the carrying out of Risk Assessments
8. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
9. Ability to prioritise and plan work under pressure to meet deadlines
10. Good communication and interpersonal skills
11. Demonstrate a customer focussed approach
12. Carry out any other duties appropriate to the post and in line with the needs of Upkeep.
13. Assist in training of apprentices.
