Salary: £36,005 Per Annum + Contributory Pension (Subject to uplift in April 2025)

The Electrician will be part of Upkeep’s void property and housing maintenance team, which delivers a multi-trade service to Upkeep’s parent company, Shettleston Housing Association and other external clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To provide a full electrical service to Upkeep ensuring that all work carried out complies with relevant building regulations and legal requirements.
- To work with, or as directed by the Recycling Manager and other line managers in the operation of reactive repairs.
- Assist, advise and co-operate with Upkeep staff as required to ensure the effective operation of reactive maintenance.
- Carry out electrical repairs and installations as required.
- Re-wire houses as required.
- Be responsible for notifying line manager when it is necessary to order/purchase stock as necessary.
- To work in a safe manner following the Health & Safety rules, and to undergo specific Health & Safety training when required.
- To assist with other works duties as required for the successful operation of the business.

EXPERIENCE
- Strong experience with EICRs and domestic repairs.
- Experience of working in a multi-trade environment.
- Experience of supervising apprentices.
- Familiarity with Social Housing is highly desirable.
