The predicted salary is between 28804 - 43206 £ per year.

Salary: £36,005 Per Annum + Contributory Pension (Subject to uplift in April 2025)

40 hours per week - Probationary period 3 Months

22 days annual leave/15 public holidays pro rata

The Electrician will be part of Upkeep’s void property and housing maintenance team, which delivers a multi-trade service to Upkeep’s parent company, Shettleston Housing Association and other external clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To provide a full electrical service to Upkeep ensuring that all work carried out complies with relevant building regulations and legal requirements.
  • To work with, or as directed by the Recycling Manager and other line managers in the operation of reactive repairs.
  • Assist, advise and co-operate with Upkeep staff as required to ensure the effective operation of reactive maintenance.
  • Carry out electrical repairs and installations as required.
  • Re-wire houses as required.
  • Be responsible for notifying line manager when it is necessary to order/purchase stock as necessary.
  • To work in a safe manner following the Health & Safety rules, and to undergo specific Health & Safety training when required.
  • To assist with other works duties as required for the successful operation of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tile Served Electrician
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

EXPERIENCE

  • Strong experience with EICRs and domestic repairs.
  • Experience of working in a multi-trade environment.
  • Experience of supervising apprentices.
  • Familiarity with Social Housing is highly desirable.
