We are seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team from September. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to a child starting school, helping them to settle, access learning and develop confidence within the classroom environment, including development of self-care routines. They will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support learning and inclusion and help the child to access the EYFS curriculum within a play-based learning environment.
About you:
- Has previous experience of supporting children with additional needs within a nursery or EYFS setting.
- Holds a full and relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant / Early Years qualification).
- Has strong evidence of supporting children's emotional wellbeing, communication and social development.
- Will foster independence while offering reassurance and encouragement.
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good literacy and numeracy competency (evidenced by GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, equivalent qualifications and/or experience).
