Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and direct the preparation and cooking of food to enhance the company’s reputation for quality.
- Prepare high‑quality food for guests quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain food hygiene and safety standards.
- Order and control stock, reducing waste.
- Oversee day‑to‑day kitchen operations proactively and hands‑on.
- Lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff; train, coach and mentor.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen.
- Adhere to allergen laws and respect dietary requirements, producing rotas and cleaning schedules for staff.
Qualifications
- Excellent culinary and presentation skills.
- Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Head Chef.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Energetic with a passion to deliver outstanding service.
- Capable of managing staff in a calm, inspirational manner.
- Forward‑thinking with the ability to manage stock and minimise wastage.
- Passion for food and a team‑player mindset.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Understanding of profit margins and food stock controls.
- Right to work in the UK.
