Location: Berkhamsted area preferred, covering the northern half of the Upham Inns estate.
Contract: Self-employed, ad hoc work.
Rate: Circa £20 per hour, plus mileage.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Handyman / Multi-Trade Contractor to support our pubs, restaurants and rooms across the northern half of the Upham Inns estate.
This is a flexible, self-employed role, ideal for someone based in or around the Berkhamsted area who is happy to travel between sites as required. The work will be varied and ad hoc, supporting our teams with general maintenance, repairs and small improvement works to help keep our sites looking their best and operating safely.
The Role Will Include
- General repairs and maintenance across our pubs, restaurants and hotel rooms
- Basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating and general building tasks
- Minor fixtures, fittings and furniture repairs
- Responding to maintenance issues as and when required
- Supporting with small project works and site improvements
- Travelling between sites across the northern half of the estate
We Are Looking For Someone Who Is
- Experienced across a range of trades
- Practical, reliable and able to work independently
- Flexible and responsive to changing business needs
- Comfortable travelling between different locations
- Able to provide their own tools and transport
- Self‑employed, with appropriate insurance in place
- Previous experience working across hospitality, hotels, pubs or similar multi‑site environments would be an advantage, but is not essential
