About the Role

As a Hard Metals, Flat Roofing & Cladding BIM (Revit) Designer, you will be responsible for producing coordinated construction drawings and BIM models for specialist roofing, façade and cladding projects across the UK. Working closely with architects, consultants, subcontractors and internal departments, you'll ensure designs are technically accurate, compliant and delivered on programme. The Hard Metals, Flat Roofing & Cladding BIM (Revit) Designer will oversee multiple live projects from design through to construction while providing technical support across the business. This role is office based in Waltham Abbey, working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing detailed Revit models, construction drawings and coordinated design information for specialist roofing and cladding projects.
  • Managing design proposals from concept through to construction while ensuring compliance with client requirements, Building Regulations, NHBC standards and ISO9001 procedures.
  • Coordinating architectural, subcontractor and supplier information, resolving design clashes and preparing documentation for Building Control and project delivery.
  • Attending design meetings, carrying out site surveys, preparing technical reports and providing ongoing design support to commercial, design and operational teams.
  • Reviewing product information, monitoring industry legislation and ensuring projects are delivered accurately, on time and to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Around five years' experience in hard metal roofing, flat roofing and/or cladding design.
  • High-level proficiency using Revit within a BIM environment and good knowledge of roofing and façade construction methods.
  • A strong understanding of Approved Document Part B, NHBC requirements and current construction regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and build strong working relationships.
  • A construction or design-related qualification would be advantageous, along with a full UK driving licence.
