Quantity Surveyor required for a long-established national fit-out contractor delivering retail, hospitality, commercial and leisure projects across the UK. This Quantity Surveyor role offers involvement in fast-paced refurbishment and fit-out schemes with a well-supported commercial team. The successful Quantity Surveyor will work on projects across the M4, M5 and M25 corridors, with regular office presence near Bristol and site visits as required. About the Role: The successful candidate will join the commercial team managing fit-out and refurbishment projects across hospitality, retail and student accommodation environments. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing project costs from pre-construction through to final account
- Preparing and reviewing subcontractor packages and procurement schedules
- Valuing and certifying subcontractor applications and payments
- Managing variations, change control and cost reporting
- Producing CVRs and supporting monthly commercial reporting
- Working closely with project managers and site teams to maintain financial control
- Attending site visits and progress meetings across live projects
- Supporting tender reviews and assisting with project budgeting
- Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed commercial targets
Suitable applicants will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within fit-out, refurbishment or similar
- Good understanding of subcontract procurement and contract administration
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to travel to sites when required
- Ability to commute to the Bristol office
